Quality Assurance
To successfully manage the operational elements of Jeff Hort Engineering, it has been necessary to direct and control it in a systematic manner. Success has resulted from the implementation and maintenance of a management system that is designed to continually improve performance while addressing the needs of interested parties.
The principle part of this management structure is the Quality Management System (QMS). The eight quality management principles have been identified and utilised in the pursuit for recognition in the development of continual improvement and implementation of the QMS. OHS Systems
Jeff Hort Engineering is committed to the continuous improvement of our OHS systems and procedures.
Our injury rates are comparatively low for our industry and the operations we undertake. Our supervisors and employees are often commended on their skill level and dedication to safety when conducting on-site works. We have always prided ourselves on our strong work ethic, commitment to achieving low incident rates, and our commitment to implementing effective return to work programs.
Our Occupational Health and Safety System
The Directors and Management of Jeff Hort Engineering Pty Ltd accept prime responsibility for Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) in the workplace in compliance with the relevant Acts, Regulations and Codes of Practice, and is fully committed to the ongoing improvement of the Company’s health and safety performance.
Our commitment to the continuous improvement of the OHS system and procedures has gained many industry accolades; our employees are often commended on their skill level and dedication to safety in both on and off-site work locations. Our OHS Policy
It is a requirement of all employees, contractors and sub-contractors working for Jeff Hort Engineering Pty Ltd and to have as their principal responsibility a commitment to the compliance and maintenance of the highest standards in relations to health, safety and welfare in the workplace.
Jeff Hort Engineering Pty Ltd is therefore committed to:
- Undertake risk management reviews and implementing action plans to adequately manage risks to persons in the work environment;
- Compliance with all relevent legislation and standards;
- Ensuring that plant and equipment are safe and without risk to health when properly used;
- Ensuring that appropriate standards are met when storing and handling dangerous goods and hazardous substances;
- Ensuring that Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) are available and accesible to employees using these products;
- Providing, monitoring and maintaining safe systems for use, handling, storage and transportation of plant, equipment and substances;
- Maintaining safe systems of work, at work premises and the work environment in which we operate;
- Providing appropriate OHS training to all employees;
- Consultation with employees, contractors and sub-contractors to enhance effectiveness of the OHS management system;
Providing the necessary resources, including finances, to facilitate the fulfillment of OHS responsibilities;
