Jeff Hort Engineering incorporated in Orange NSW, March 6th 1995. The Company at that time consisted of Rae and Jeff Hort. Craig Hort, now the General Manager joined the Company in January 1996

The business was established in Orange with the aim of providing an engineering support service to the rural industry and the fledgling mining industry, given that, the proposed Newcrest - Cadia goldmine was approved by the Government. From this very humble beginning the Company has developed and diversified into an organization providing a myriad of engineering support services.

In just a short period of time Jeff Hort Engineering has developed into a major provider of engineering equipment and maintenance services locally, nationally and internationally.

Our services not only cover the mining industry, but also embrace the construction, cotton and wool, food processing, structural steel, electrical power generation, agriculture as well as local and state government instrumentalities.

Machine Shop
Our machine shop is one of the largest, fully equipped machine shops in the Central West of NSW catering for a broad spectrum of engineering needs. We have the capacity to carry out turning, boring, milling, slotting, drilling, tapping, surface grinding, CNC milling and linishing. If it's machining accuracy you're after, consider Jeff Hort Engineering, we're setting the benchmark for others to follow.

Engineering Design and Drafting
Our team of fully qualified engineering staff have the tools, knowledge and experience to take your conceptual ideas to reality. Utilising "Inventor", a fully parametric three dimensional design software package from industry leader Autodesk. This software package allows not only advanced modelling and drafting of complicated dynamic models, but incorporates engineering calculation and design tools, plus a comprehensive components library.
